Whether you have a small job or a neighborhood cleanup, Salem Housing, in partnership with Keep Genesee County Beautiful and Flint Urban Gardening and Land Use Corporation, can help provide you with the tools you’ll need.

What is available at the Tool Shed?
Homeowners, organizations and neighborhood block clubs have access to a variety of tools needed for beautification and clean-up projects including:

Is there a cost to use the tools?
No, just call Salem Housing CDC at (810) 785-5340, ext. 25 or 23 in advance to reserve the tools. A tool requisition form must be filled out and signed by the person and/or organization picking up the tools and a Salem Housing CDC representative. Forms can be downloaded or picked up at the Salem Housing CDC office, or download by clicking here.

How do I get the tools?
Tools can be picked up Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 4:00pm and on some Saturdays (if requested in advance) at the tool shed located behind the Salem Housing CDC offices located at the southeast corner of M.L. King and Pasadena.

Does Salem Housing accept tool donations?
Yes, Salem Housing is always looking for additional tools new or like-new tools.
